Story (Moana):

Introduction (Moana):

The movie is about a girl named Moana who lived on a island named Motunui with her family. She was the daughter of the chief and always wanted to sail on the ocean but her father always stops her.

Old stories:

Her grandmother Tala told her stories of the ocean monsters, how they appeared and Tefiti, Teka and Maui who stole Tefiti’s heart. One day, when she was a little girl while playing near the ocean collecting seashells, she found ocean moving weirdly on its own and found the lost Tefiti’s heart. But her father came and she lost the heart.

Ocean Obsession:

As she grew bigger, her obsession towards the ocean increased rapidly but her father always stops her as he had a very bad experience with the ocean. He wanted her daughter to stay on the Island helping her people but her grandmother thoughts were change.

Moana’s attempt to sail:

She often mentioned that someone had to leave to restore the heart. Moana secretly tried many times to sail the ocean but always gets failed. One day, her mother told her that her father had the same obsession she had when he was young.

Father’s past:

So he along with one of his friend tried to sail but the ocean tides grew stronger and his friend lost his life. After that day, he never thought the same. After that Moana tried to not to think of going to the ocean and tried to help the people but found something strange.

Motunui’s Dying:

Then her grandmother told her that all the stories she once told about Tefiti’s heart were true. There island was dying and the ocean chose her to restore the heart. She should go and then later that night her grandmother died.

Moana’s Journey:

On that night, Moana took a boat and left to find Maui. When she was sailing across the ocean, the tides grew higher and she drowned. She woke up on an unknown island and started blaming the ocean for her drowning.

Maui’s Found:

 But later she realized that the ocean took her all the way to Maui. When Moana asked him to restore the heart, he refused and locked her in a cave. He took her boat but Moana jumped from the cave top and landed on the boat. Maui tried to get rid of her but failed.

Realm of Monsters:

Moana asked him teach her how to sail but he refused, thinking her of a princess. Then they sailed towards the realm of monsters to get Maui’s fish hook. Maui thought that Moana would not follow him but he was wrong.

Giant Crab:

There they faced a giant crab that had Maui’s fish hook. He also wanted to have her necklace in which she had kept the heart but she managed to escape with the heart and the hook but due to such a long break, Maui was unable to use it correctly. Moana tried to help but he was furious.

Maui Teach her to sail:

They also faced Kakamora on their way to Tefiti but they escaped. Maui was disabled to do anything as he had a dart hit in his back. So Moana tried to help. Ocean then helped them and then Maui and Moana helped each other in their needs.

First attempt to restore Heart:

They sailed towards Tefiti and faced Teka blocking their way. Maui tried but was hit by Teka and Maui’s fish hook was temporarily destroyed. A single hit would destroy it completely. So he refused to help her more. Moana then thought of doing all by her own and again reached Teka.

Everything is Okay now:

Maui came to help and Moana easily managed to pass through. But she found Tefiti missing. She then discovered that Teka is actually Tefiti. Maui in his attempt to help lost his fish hook. She restored the heart and Tefiti was back. She blessed Maui with a new fish hook and reset everything back to normal. They then came back and started to voyage again.

Character Profile (Moana):

Maui:

Maui was a demigod, who was gifted with a magical fish hook. The fish hook gave him the power to shape shift and turn into any animal. He did many things for the people. People in the start praised him but when he stole Tefiti’s heart and monsters appear, they considered him a villain. It was believed that Tefiti’s heart can gave the power of creation. After this reaction, he never returned.

Villain’s Profile (Moana):

There are many villains in the movie as the kakamora that appeared to have Tefiti’s heart. The giant crab that appeared in the realm of monsters, killed his grandma and wanted to kill Moana and maui. It even saved maui’s fish hook, knowing Maui is nothing without it.

Do you Notice (Moana):

Many monsters appeared seeking Tefiti’s heart when it was stolen but no one ever managed to find it. The heart was always in the ocean so may be the ocean protected it.

When Tefiti was restored and everything was set right, the same flower appeared that saved the Queen’s life in tangled, kept mother Gothel young and gave Rapunzel magical hair.

Life Lessons (Moana):

• Never lose hope and keep trying.
• One should never forget his/her true identity, what we are and what we do.
• Always try to learn new things no matter how old you get.
• Be considerate and consistent and you will get everything.
