Story (Richard the stork):

Introduction (Richard the stork):
This story “Richard the stork” is related to a sparrow named Richard. His parents died in an accident, and he was raised by a stork family. Aurora found her after his parents were eaten by a wild animal and as he lived with the storks so he thought himself as a stork as well. The stork family also had a son named Max, who became good friend. They played together. Max’s mother loved Richard as her own child, but Max’s father was not happy with Richard because he was a sparrow.
Migration of Storks (Richard the stork):
The storks migrate in the fall season. As fall approached, the storks prepared to migrate to Africa. Max’s father knew Richard couldn’t fly long distances, so he decided to leave him behind. Max’s father told him that he was not a stork and as he was raised by a stork family doesn’t mean that he was a stork too and he could not travel so far. Despite Richard’s insistence on joining them, Max’s parents left without him. Richard tried to follow but couldn’t fly far due to bad weather and fell to the ground.
Richard’s meet an owl:
There, he met an owl named Olga and her unseen friend Oleg. They treated him kindly, and Richard shared his story with them. Richard ask Olga for help with the night journey. Olga agreed to help him travel at night since she could see well in the dark. Together, they began their journey to Africa.
Richard’s meet Kiki:
During their travels, they found a parrot named Kiki trapped in a cage. Richard freed Kiki, who loved dancing and singing. Kiki told them that she know the way to Gibraltar and took them through a train. But instead of Gibraltar, he took them to Samrino festival that was in Italy.
Olga’s past:
On their way, Olga told them about her past that no one was happy from her as pigmy owls were little but Olga was a fat owl. Everyone made fun of her. Even her own family did not accept her so she made an imaginary friend whom she named Oleg. After some conversation, they all sleep to take some rest.

Kiki’s betrayal:
When they woke up, The train stopped at the station and they found Kiki missing. They asked a group of crows about the place and knew that they had reached Italy. Olga blamed Richard for all this. This upset Richard, and he decided to travel to Africa alone. Kiki realized his mistake and returned to help Richard.
Richard in danger:
On their journey, they overheard two storks talking about a sparrow traveling to Africa that was crossing a river, which could put itself life in danger. Kiki searched for Olga and told her everything. Together, they traveled to Richard and tried to stop him. However, Richard didn’t listen to them and fell into the river. Olga and Kiki helped him, and because of their help, he finally reached Africa.
Richard saves Max:
In Africa, Richard learned that Max was angry and went to a dangerous burrow (honey badger’s burrow). Max’s father couldn’t follow because the burrow was too small for him. Richard, Olga, and Kiki went into the burrow and found Max. They met once again with him, but honey badger , the dangerous creature, appeared. Richard told Olga and Kiki to take Max away, while he stayed behind to face honey badger alone. He fought and defeated honey badger.
Happy ending(Richard the stork):
When he came out of the Badger’s hole, he introduced everyone with Olga and Kiki and told them that they helped him reach Africa. Max’s father apologized to Richard, accepting him as part of their family being their son. The story ended happily with Richard being embraced as a member of the stork family.

Character Profile (Richard the storks):
Olga:
An owl whose name was Olga and she had an invisible friend named Oleg. She saved Richard from the bats when he was traveling to Africa at night. In this way, they both became friends. Olga joined Richard in his journey and saved him from difficulties. She also saved him when he fell in the river and also helped him meet his family again. Olga also entered in the badger’s hole with Richard that was a dangerous place. She never left Richard even if he was in danger, risking her own life as well.
