Story (Robin Hood 1973 Movie):

Introduction (Robin Hood 1973 Movie):
The movie “Robin Hood 1973 Movie” is about heroic Robin Hood who was the helper of the poor people. The story is told by a Minstrel Alan-a-Dale, a roaster. One day, Little John and Robin Hood were walking by a Forest when they heard some music from which he recognized that Prince John is going through after taking the taxes from the people.
Prince been robbed:
He planned to take all the gold coins from him so that he can distribute them among the poor people of Nottingham. He disguised himself as Fortune teller and stopped them on their way. There he tricked Prince John and took all the money with him. Sir Hiss, a snake who was always with the Prince tried to aware him that these are robbers but he ignored him and as a result, he was robbed and when he knew that the robber is Robin Hood, he announced revenge.
The Sheriff of Nottingham:
He gave the money to Friar Tuck to distribute them to the people but corrupt Sheriff of Nottingham saw him and took away all the money to pay to pay the taxes to Prince John. After that, the family of rabbits was celebrating kid’s birthday whose name was Skippy and they have all collectively collected a coin as a gift but the Sheriff came just on time and took the coin with him.
Robin Hood as a beggar:
Suddenly, an old beggar appeared who was actually Robin Hood disguised as a beggar. He gave a bow and an arrow and his hat to the little rabbit as a gift and also helped them by giving some money. After Robin Hood left, the kids were trying the bow and arrow in the open air when they accidently shoot the arrow towards the Palace.
Maid Marian:
They were all afraid but they all went there to get the arrow back. There they met Maid Marian and Lady Kluck. Marian reminds of Robin Hood after seeing the hat on Skippy’s head. She remembered that they were childhood sweet hearts. On the other side, Robin Hood was also thinking of Maid Marian when he was with Little John on their forest hideout.
Archery Contest:

Friar Tuck came there and told them about an archery competition organized by Prince John and the grand prize was a kiss from Maid Marian. Robin Hood after hearing the grand prize planned to take part in it. He and Little John disguised themselves as a Stork and Duke of Chutney. Robin Hood participated in the contest as the Stork’s disguise and won it.
Prince recognizes Robin:
But Prince John recognized him and sentenced him to death. Maid Marian proclaimed her love to Robin Hood and he did the same but Prince John didn’t forgive him. Little John tried to save his buddy with the help of a dagger which he put on the prince’s back but the sheriff stopped him. They all started fighting and Robin Hood proposed Maid Marian and she accepted. Little John, Lady Kluck, Maid Marian and Robin Hood escape.
Mad Prince:
They all went to the Forest where Robin Hood and Marian had some romantic moments but were interrupted by the people of Nottingham. They all sang a song about the Prince and the song was famous even in the Prince’s advisors. This made the prince furious and he tripled the taxes and whoever didn’t pay them was put in the jail.
Friar Tuck in jail:
One day, Sheriff took a coin from the Church’s poor box and this made Friar Tuck mad. He tried to stop him but was arrested. After his arrest, Prince John made a plan to use Friar Tuck as bait and announced that he would be hung in front of the people but the previous night, Robin Hood and Little John saved them all but he himself was stuck there.
Happy Ending (Robin Hood 1973 Movie):
He escaped by jumping into the water. Sir Hiss blamed the prince and the prince beat him a lot as the Sheriff had put Prince’s mother castle on fire. After that the people of Nottingham lived happily. Robin Hood was forgiven and abandoned and he married maid Marian.

Character Profile (Robin Hood 1973 Movie):
Little John:
Little John was Robin Hood’s buddy and was always with him no matter how much difficult the situation is. He even robbed Prince John when he was collecting the taxes and was with him when he came to the palace to save Friar Tuck.

Villain’s Profile (Robin Hood 1973 Movie):
Prince John and Sir Hiss:
Prince John is the main villain of the movie as he somehow managed to be at the King’s place and ruled the area. He even forced the people to pay taxes but Robin Hood took the money from him and distributes them among the poor. Sir Hiss was always with the bad prince and advised him in many occasions.
Did you Notice!
King Richard is not seen in the whole movie but he appeared in the end and also we saw Sir Hiss saying that he hypnotized the King so how was the hypnotism end.
Life Lessons:
- We should not do something bad in order to fulfill our wishes.
- Always try to help the poor and needy.
- Be kind to everyone.
- Always help and support your buddies but not in bad deeds.
- Never try to take advantage of someone’s difficulty.
