Story (Tangled):
Introduction (Tangled):
The movie “Tangled” is about a Princess named Rapunzel who had magical hair. Once upon a time, a sun drop fell from the sky and grew into a beautiful flower. The flower had the power to treat ill people and keep people young.
Rapunzel’s Birth:
A woman named Gothel used its powers to be young. Many years passed and some soldiers took the flower to treat their sick pregnant queen. The queen was cured and she gave birth to a beautiful girl with blonde hairs.
Gothel kidnapped Rapunzel:
That night, Gothel sneaked into the castle and found that the girl’s hair had all the flower powers. She cut some of her hair but those hairs eventually turned brown and lost their powers so Gothel decided to kidnap Rapunzel instead. Gothel took the little princess in a tower far away in the forest so no one could ever found Rapunzel and grew her as her own daughter.
Sky lanterns:
Since then the king and the queen released sky lanterns on her each birthday in the hope that one day she will return. Many years passed and Rapunzel always saw those released lanterns from the tower window but never dared to go see them closely.
Rapunzel’s Wish:
One year, close to her birthday, she asked mother Gothel to take her see those lanterns but mother Gothel refused and said that the outside world is dangerous and everyone out is up to take her magical hairs and Rapunzel accepted.
Stolen Crown:
On the other side Flynn rider stole Rapunzel’s intended crown from the castle with the help of his crime partners Stabbington brothers. He betrayed them while the castle guard’s were following them. He discovered the tower and went in to hide but was stabbed by Rapunzel. She, believing her mother’s stories thought the Flynn was here for her hairs.
Rapunzel’s Planning:
She also hid is crown thinking of a plan. Rapunzel also send mother Gothel to a three days trip asking her new paints for her birthday as a gift. When he gained his consciousness, he found himself tied with a chair. Rapunzel wanted to make a deal that he took her to see those lanterns and then she will give him his crown back.
Snuggly Duckling:
Flynn just for the sake of the crown agreed on her proposal. Flynn and Rapunzel left for the lanterns. On their way, Flynn took her to the Snuggly duckling’s pub; Rapunzel was scared to see the thugs in the pub. The thugs captured Flynn to won the prize but Rapunzel convinced them to show their soft sides.
Secrets revealed:
When the soldiers appeared, the thugs helped Flynn and Rapunzel escape. While escaping they were stuck in a water flowing cave and thought that they will suffocate and die. Flynn then told Rapunzel his real name Eugene Fitzherbert. Rapunzel with the help of her magical hair’s glow found the hidden exit and they both survive. She also told him her secret of magical hairs.
Empty Tower:
On the other side, mother Gothel say Maximus, a castle horse, in the forest and thought that they have found their lost princess. Scared, she went back to the empty tower and found a crown and Flynn’s poster. She quickly left to find her.
Maximus:
Continuing their journey towards the kingdom, they (Rapunzel and Flynn) also faced Maximus who was up to capture Flynn but Rapunzel stopped him saying it’s her birthday and he was about to fulfill her biggest wish. Maximus agreed and continued to go with them.
Deal with Stabbington’s Brothers:
Mother Gothel met Stabbington brothers and gave them the crown so they would help her find Rapunzel. Mother Gothel found Rapunzel and told her that he will betray her. In order to find out, she gave her the crown and asked her to give it back to him and then after taking the crown Flynn will abandon her.
Love Expression:
Flynn and Rapunzel enjoyed their trip and when they were on a boat to see the amazing view of the flying lanterns, they both expressed their love to each other. Rapunzel gave him his crown back. Suddenly, Flynn saw the Stabbington brothers on the shore and excused. He returned the crown but they stabbed him and tied him with a rope.
A great misunderstanding:
Rapunzel saw him sailing away and misunderstood him. Gothel took her back to the tower and Flynn was captured by the soldiers. But Maximus and the thugs helped him escape. He went straight to the tower to save Rapunzel.
Tangled Story Untangled:
Rapunzel also found that her every art work had a shinning sun in it and realized that may be she was the lost princess. Mother Gothel after her realization chained her. When Flynn reached the tower, Gothel stabbed him with a knife and wanted to take Rapunzel away but she resists.
She asked Gothel to let her save Flynn and she will stay with her forever. Flynn to save Rapunzel cut her hair turning them brown before she was able to treat him.
Happy Ending (Tangled):
Scared Gothel eventually turned old and fell from the tower turning into ashes. Rapunzel mourned for Flynn and one of her tear that still had some powers saved Flynn. They returned to the castle and Rapunzel reunited with her birth parents and the kingdom then celebrated Rapunzel and Flynn’s marriage.

Character Profile (Tangled):
Flynn Rider:
Flynn Rider whose actual name was Eugene Fitzherbert. He told children stories of Flynn Rider but when he was unable to get his earnings through this, he started stealing things. Eugene met Rapunzel in the tower when he was finding a place to hide from the castle guards after a robbery. He also agreed to Rapunzel’s offer to have his crown back but fell in love during their journey. So, he refused to steal things again and tried to be a good person. He also saved Rapunzel risking his own life but was saved by her last powers.
Villain’s Profile (Tangled):
Mother Gothel:
Mother Gothel was an old woman who used the flower’s magical powers to stay young for a long time but when the soldiers took the flower to save their sick queen, she sneaked into the palace and found the magical powers in the little princess’s hairs so first she tried to take some hairs but when she found those hairs losing their power, she decided to take the princess. She raised her but never let her keep a single foot out of the tower. She also tried to kill Flynn just to keep her secret of the hidden tower.
Did you Notice!
When Flynn cut Rapunzel’s hair, he used the same hand that Rapunzel had healed after getting hurt with her hair. So, maybe her hair gave Flynn super strength as well.
