Story (BFG):

Introduction(BFG(Big Friendly Giant)):
This movie “BFG” is about a girl named Sophie who lived in an orphanage after the death of her parents. One night, she could not sleep and heard a voice. When she sneaks out of the window, she saw a giant and he was blowing something through the windows with the help of an instrument.
Sophie sees the giant:
He saw Sophie sneaking. Sophie got afraid and hid in her bed but the giant found him out and took her with him in the Giant country so that she didn’t tell someone about him. Sophie got scared of the giant as she had seen a giant for the first time. When he took her in the giant country, Sophie came to knew that there are many other giants in the country and they ate human live.
Giant and Sophie’s friendship:
This giant was a little different from him. He gave her giant cucumbers to eat that resemble frog skin and burnt fish in taste. She asked him that did he have anything else to eat but he told her that the giants that didn’t eat human ate this in the giant country. They became good friends. This giant was very nice and he took great care of him.
BFG a friendly giant:
Sophie due to his politeness named him BFG which means Big Friendly Giant. He was worried that her parents were worried about her but she told him that she had no parents and she lives in an orphanage whose guardian is so strict. He asked her that was she happy there? She replied that she was punished for a single mistake.

Sophie‘s hostel life:
Mrs. Clonkers locked them in a dark room where there are big rats and it was horrible. Hearing this, giant became sad. BFG saved her from the other giants and told her about his job that he collects dreams and blow them to the people so that they could enjoy good dreams. Sophie was very happy with him.
Sophie in danger:
One day, Sophie’s blanket left in the giant country when she came back to blow dreams in England. But her blanket was caught by the giants. The bad giants smelled a human and they searched BFG’s house completely and Sophie was almost caught by him. BFG quickly hid her and the giants were failed to find a human so they return back.
BFG’s secrets:
He told her about his secrets which impressed her very much. BFG taught him to catch dreams. He also tell her about all types of dreams. He thought to leave her back due to the fear of the bad giants but Sophie told him that she was very brave and she can confront them easily. Sophie and BFG made a plan to stop the bad giants from doing bad deeds and they thought to take help from the Queen of England.
BFG make dream for Queen:
The giant made a dream in which the giants ate the human, one giant tries to stop them and a girl helped him in this. When the Queen saw this dream and saw the same in the news, she got afraid. Sophie and BFG came there, the Queen recognized him as she had already saw them in the dream that a giant and a girl will help her.
Giants shift to a new place:
The Queen got upset as her dream was true. The giant told them about the bad giants of the giant country and the queen sent her soldiers there with BFG and Sophie and they shift the bad giants to another place that was unknown to anyone and not a single bird could go there. They also provide them food.
Happy ending(BFG):
The queen gift both of them a house where Sophie can live happily and BFG can collect his dreams and that’s how the movie ends happily.

Character Profile:
Elizabeth II:
Elizabeth II was the Queen of England and she helps Sophie to stop the bad giants in the Giant country from eating human. She also sends her soldiers to catch the bad giants. There, all the giants are captured except BFG because he was a nice giant and helps Queen in catching the bad giants. Queen also praises Sophie for her bravery and she adopt her and live with her in her house.

Villain’s Profile:
Blood bottler:
Blood bottler was a horrible giant who ate human. He smelled Sophie in the giant country and started looking for her but could find her. giant wanted to eat her. He always wished to drink human blood and all the other 8 giants were just like him except BFG (Big Friendly Giant) who tried to save Sophie from the bad giants.
Did you Notice!
The movie doesn’t explain why the BFG was so different from the others, or how he remained unaffected by them even while living with them. It also doesn’t reveal how he learned about dreams.
Life Lessons (BFG):
- People belonging to same generation do not gave same qualities just like BFG who was different from the other giants.
- We should face everything bravely.
- We should think for others before ourselves just as BFG risked his life and helped the Queen of England.
