Story (The Lion King 2):
Introduction (The Lion King 2):
In the start of the movie “The Lion King 2”, we saw that Simba and Nala were blessed with a cub. Timon and Pumbaa were happy as they will get another baby to rise like Simba. But they were shocked to know that it was a girl. Still they looked after her at every moment. They named them Kiara.
Simba’s copy:
Simba was very possessive for Kiara and she was just like her father, Simba. She was very naughty and curious. She was told not to go to the outlands as it was the land of the outlanders, the ones that were exiled from the Pride lands. But she was very curious to see the Out Lands.
Kovu and Kiara first meeting:
In her curiosity, she went to the outlands and met Kovu. Kovu was so scared but they became friends. But Zira and Simba reached there and separated them as they thought that the opposition was about to hurt their kid. Simba got scared as Kiara was just like him.
Simba remembered his Mistake:
He was afraid of Kiara repeating the same mistakes as he did as a little cub. He lost his father due to his mistakes so he became even more protective. Nala once told him that she is just like him curious and do things without thinking of the risks as Simba did risking his and Nala’s life in the elephant graveyard.
Cubs Grew Up:
After that Simba became more protective and Zira started training Kovu to take revenge for Scar. She filled his heart with hatred. One day, when Kiara was out alone for hunt, Zira planned to trap her. She set up fire in the Pride Land and Kovu saved Kiara so that Kovu can enter into Pride Lands. And their plan worked.
Kovu In Pride Land:
After that Kovu had to fake love Kiara according to the plan but he actually started loving her. He stopped of thinking to kill Simba. Simba also realized that he is getting harsh towards Kovu. It was not Kovu’s mistake and Kovu should not be guilty for someone other’s wrong work. So, he started behaving well.
Zira attacked Simba:
When Zira found out that Kovu changed his mind of killing Simba, she set a trap for both of them. One day, Simba and Kovu went out for a talk in open. Zira with the other outlanders followed them and pretended that they planned it with Kovu. Kovu tried to tell Simba about their lie but Simba didn’t believe. All of them tried to kill Simba but Kovu started saving him.
Kovu got banished:
Simba escaped saving his life and when the lions from the Pride Lands were informed about Simba’s condition. They quickly get there to help. Simba told everyone that Kovu betrayed. And after that Kovu was banished from the Pride Lands. Kiara tried to tell his father that he had mistaken but Simba didn’t hear anyone.
Kiara’s missing:
Kiara ran to find Simba without letting anyone know. Everyone started looking for her as she was missing. Kiara looked everywhere for Kovu and at last find him. Kovu told her that they will leave this place and live their lives together at another place away from everyone. But Kiara asked him that they should return to finish this fight. They are all lions.
Last Fight:
On the other side, Zira came with the other outlanders to kill Simba and complete her revenge. But at the last moment, Kovu and Kiara reach there and explained them that they are all same. This fight should end here. Every outlander back off except Zira.
Happy Ending (The Lion King 2):
During her fight, she fell in the water. Kiara tried to save her but she didn’t hold her hand and died. After that the outlander’s exile ended and they lived on the Pride Rock together.

Character Profile (The Lion King 2):
Timon And Pumbaa:
Timon and Pumbaa played a vital role in both parts of The lion king. In the first part, they saved Simba from vultures and then raised him. They taught him to live happily ignoring all his problems. And when Simba returned to the Pride Lands, they came with him and fought the hyenas to save the Pride Lands. In the second part, they were so excited to have another baby to rise like they raised Simba. They watched after Kiara at every moment and tried to protect her every danger in her way. That’s why she was so fragile.
Villain’s Profile (The Lion King 2):
Zira (outsider’s leader):
Zira was a loyal follower of Scar. She had 3 child including Kovu. Zira always considered Scar as the rightful king. She was the head of the lions that were exiled from the Pride Lands. Zira raised Kovu and trained him in such a way that he can take revenge of scar and even sacrificed her son Nuka while process. She even at the end died instead of accepting Simba as her king.
Did You Notice?
In the first part “The lion King”, we didn’t see any lion supporting Scar. So, Zira is a direct character in the movie The Lion King 2.
Life Lessons (The Lion King 2):
- Never spread hatred among your young ones.
- Don’t punish someone on other’s deeds.
- Children are never responsible for their elder’s wrong doings.
- Always support the Truth.
