As the movie The Lion King begins, all the animals are excited to see the new heir of the Pride Lands as their King Mufasa and Queen Sarabi were blessed with a child. An old mandrill Rafiki came there to show everyone the new cub. Mufasa named him Simba.
Scar’s Absence:
Everyone was there instead of Mufasa’s younger brother Scar who wanted to be the king of the Pride Lands but was not powerful enough to win the kingdom. After the ceremony, Zazu informs Scar that Mufasa is coming for asking Scar about the reason of not coming to Simba’s ceremony. Scar pretends that he forgot about the ceremony and he thought that the ceremony is tomorrow. Simba As a Child:
As Simba grows up, he became very naughty. One day, early in the morning, he wakes up Mufasa for a visit of the Pride Lands. Mufasa shows him everything except one place which was out of his kingdom. After returning from the visit, Simba quickly came to Scar to tell him about the visit.
Elephant Graveyard:
He tells scar that Mufasa took him for a visit of the pride land and when he will grow up he will be the new king of the Pride Land. Scar on hearing this, thinks of a plan so that he can be the new King of the Pride Lands. He told Simba about the elephant graveyard and then he pretends that he was not willing to tell him and he told him by mistake.
Simba and Nala on the way:
Simba due to his curiosity, along with one of his friend Nala, leave to see the elephant graveyard. He was unaware that elephant graveyard is actually a place of those animals that are forbidden to come to the Pride Land. Sarabi, Simba’s mother, ask Zazu to go with them but they escape from Zazu’s sight.
Both in Danger:
As they reach there, the hyenas started chasing them. Mufasa with the help of Zazu immediately reach there and saved them from the hyenas. Mufasa told Simba that he was afraid of losing him and then he asked Simba to promise never to go there again. But Scar’s plan didn’t stop here.
Mufasa’s Death:

He then took Simba to a deserted place and asked him to practice his roar. He told Simba that every lion come here to practice his roar even his father Mufasa. On the other side, the hyenas start chasing a group of wild buffaloes and let them run towards the deserted place where Simba was present. After that Scar inform Mufasa about the Chaos and that Simba is in danger. Mufasa came to save Simba and there he lost his own life.
Timon And Pumbaa:
After the chaos end, Scar blamed Simba for his father’s death and asked him to run. The hyenas also started chasing him to kill the little cub. But somehow Simba was saved and Timon and Pumbaa find him. They raised him in another forest where he lived happily.
Scar’s Rule:
Back in Pride Lands, Scar started ruling there with the hyenas. The condition of Pride Lands was ruined. One day, Nala leave the Pride Land to seek someone’s help but ends up in finding Simba. She told him that everyone thought that he is dead too. She asked him to come back but Simba didn’t agree.
Simba is Back:
But his plans changed after Rafiki’s entry. He helped Simba. When Simba came back, he was astonished to see the Pride Land. Timon and Pumbaa also came with him. Together they all fought with the Hyenas and Scar. During the fight, he came to know that he was not the one who was responsible for his father’s death.
Happy Ending (The Lion King):
But it was Scar who pushed Mufasa from the height causing Mufasa’s death. After his victory, they started living happily in the Pride Lands. Simba and Nala became the new King and Queen and blessed with a beautiful cub whom they named Kiara.

Not a clearly main character, but he plays an important role in the movie. A hornbill is used to represent him which is considered a territorial bird and defends its area from those who try to harm it. In the movie, zazu is playing the same role of protecting his area by providing the king necessary information.

Villain (The Lion King):
Scar is the main villain in the movie. He wanted to be a king but was not much strong like his brother Mufasa. That’s why Mufasa became the king. After that he even used Mufasa’s son, Simba to kill him and he achieved his desire of becoming the king, he asked Mufasa’s wife Sarabi to be his Queen.
Did You Notice?
When Simba came back from visiting Pride Land and came to Scar, during their conversation, Simba said “You’re so weird” and Scar replied with “You have no idea.” I think Scar was already planning of using Simba to kill Mufasa.
