Story (The Magic Brush):
Introduction (The Magic Brush):
This story “The Magic Brush” is about a poor boy named Ma Liang. He was the son of a farmer but he loved to paint. That place was ruled by a selfish king. One day, the king ordered the villagers to evict from the village because he thought that there is gold under the village. The king warned them that whoever would not agree will be hardly punished.
Ma Liang got a magic pencil:
The villagers were very sad. One day, an old man came to Ma Liang and gave him a magic pencil. The old man told Ma Liang that the magic pencil is very powerful and to use it wisely. Ma Liang drew a cat and a mouse with the pencil and they came to life. Ma Liang was very happy and decided to help the villagers with the help of that pencil. When the villagers came to know about the magic pencil they started to wish a lot.
Ma Liang makes a gold tree:
Their wishes increased. Ma Liang also made a gold tree to make the villagers happy so that the villagers could live peacefully. During this, the King stops the water supply in the village so that the villagers leave the village. Ma Liang wanted to use the pencil to draw water but his friend Lyla advised him to use the pencil wisely. Ma Liang went to the king’s palace where the water was stored in a teapot. They returned it back to the villagers which made them happy But The soldiers attacked Ma Liang.
Teapot saves Ma Laing from soldiers:
To save themselves from the soldiers, he went into the teapot. When they saw them in the teapot, they also went in it. The teapot changed them into toys. When the king saw that his soldiers turned into toys, he sends his bird to see what’s the matter? The king had a bird that told him about the magic pencil. King called Ma Liang and his friend in the palace and deceives them and took the pencil. The king also locked Ma Liang in an ink ball. The cat he drew before helped him and splits it on a paper.
Ma Laing in danger:
He knew that if the ink gets dry on the paper, Ma Liang will die. The king used the pencil to draw a dragon but the dragon went against him. Meanwhile, that old man came to Ma Liang and gave him an advice to separate his soul from his body to be safe. On the cats advice, Layla puts her hand in the paper and took ma Liang out. They all took the pencil and ran away. But one of his friends stopped there and asks Ma Liang to hear what the king says so that the king Dies not hurt him.
Ma Laing makes Gold Mountain:
Ma Liang agrees to the King’s wish and made a gold mountain for him and took it to the sky. Then Ma Liang made a flying ship and all of them went to the mountain. The king started to break the mountain after going there so that he could take the gold to his palace. He broke the mountain into pieces with the help of his soldiers. He also pushed Ma Liang from there so that he die by felling from the mountain but his cat saved him. There, he confronted the king and change him into gold.
Happy ending(The Magic Brush):
The mountain breaks and the king also end with it. Ma Liang uses the magic pencil to make a flying horse which helped them to land safely. At the end, Ma Liang used the magic pencil only for helping others and they lived happily ever after.

Character Profile (The Magic Brush):
Lyla:
Lyla was a very nice girl. When Ma Liang was trying to resolve the issues that were created by the king with the help of his magic pencil, Lyla advised him to work with wisdom. Ma Liang used her advise and then used the magic pencil wisely and resolved all the issues. She also helped him when his life was in danger due to the king. Layla was also with Ma Liang when the king took him forcefully on the mountains. Together they confronted the king and came back to the village.
Villain’s Profile:
Villain:
The king of the place where Ma Liang lived was very greedy. He had a parrot that told him that there is a boy in the village who had a magic pencil. Everything that is drawn with it becomes real. The king risked Ma Liang’s life. The king told him to make a gold mountain but Ma Liang refused. So, the king threatened him and Ma Liang made that mountain. He put the mountain in the sky. The king went to the mountain in the flying ship with Ma Liang but he pushed him when he reaches there. Ma Liang also changed the king into gold and broke him.
Do you notice (The Magic Brush)!
He created a golden mountain for the king, but it actually looked like a park shaped like an animal. When the soldiers start breaking the mountain, the mountain was crying and tears were coming out of his eyes.
Life Lessons (The Magic Brush):
- We should use our powers in good deeds.
- It is always harmful by taking someone’s rights.
- We should deal with every situation with wisdom.
- Always help others.
- We should not be greedy for anything.
- We should not harm someone for our own benefit.
