Story (The Great Mouse Detective)

Introduction (The Great Mouse Detective):
The movie “The Great Mouse Detective” surrounds around one of the great adventurous save of a little girl by a detective named Basil. One day, Olivia Flaversham and her father, Mr. Flaversham who had the capability of making different robotic things, were celebrating Olivia’s birthday. Mr. Flaversham had a surprise for his little girl which was a dancing doll.
Mr. Flaversham’s Kidnap:
After him giving Olivia the gift, suddenly they hear noise from outside. Someone was knocking at their door. This was strange for both of them. Whoever was outside, was about to break into the house. Mr. Flaversham asked Olivia to hide. After that someone came in through the window and took Mr. Flaversham with him.
Olivia needs Help:
After that Olivia came out and she found her father missing. She read about the great mouse detective in the paper and started looking for him but get lost in the streets. There she found Dawson who had just returned from Afghanistan. He asked Olivia about help. Both of them then find Basil, The Great Mouse Detective.
Basil (The Great Mouse Detective) Accept to Help:
Basil in the start didn’t want to help them but when he came to know about the case, he immediately recognized that this case will took him close to his enemy. Together they started looking for the suspect who was a bat named Fidget. Fidget worked for Rattigan.
Rattigan’s Plan:
Rattigan wanted Mr. Flaversham to create a robot replica of the Queen of Mouse to take her place in the Buckingham Palace and rule the mousedom. But Mr. Flaversham refused to do so. Rattigan then threatened him for kidnapping Olivia and kill her. This made Flaversham forced to start to work for him.

Chasing Fidget:
Basil, Dawson and Olivia used Toby, a detective’s hound dog, to chase Fidget who appeared in Basil’s window for a while. He took them to a toy store where they find out that Fidget was looking for Clockwork mechanism and toys uniforms.
Olivia’s Kidnap:
Fidget kidnap Olivia without getting caught. Basil and Dawson then find his checklist through which they get to a Ratigan’s headquarter. Ratigan was already aware of Basil’s coming so he planned a trap for him. As he knew about Fidget losing the checklist in the toy store. He knew that Basil is smart enough to reach him using the checklist.
Basil And Dawson trapped:
Dawson and Basil were trapped and ratigan then leave for the Buckingham Palace for his great plan. Basil was so dishearted. Dawson encouraged him up which maked him think of a way to escape. They were all safe and then they went to Palace to save the Queen. At the last moment, they saved the Queen and spoiled Ratigan’s plan.
The End:
Ratigan again kidnapped Olivia for revenge but Basil saved her. At the end of Ratigan and Basil fight, Basil was in danger but with the help of his mind and his new friends, he was saved. The Queen gifted them with the title of the Great Mouse Detective. Olivia and her father left for a new place to live. Dawson and Basil joined hands and worked together and they lived happily ever after.

Character Profile (The Great Mouse Detective):
Dawson
Dawson, a doctor, who had served his nation for many years. But when he was coming back after retirement, he found Olivia. The little girl was crying as she was lost. His heart melted for the poor little girl. He then helped Olivia to get to Basil. His work ends there but still he didn’t leave her till the end. He even risked his life for helping a girl whom he didn’t know.
He is such a good friend and supporter who is always there for you in good and bad. As in the movie, the way of dawson encouraging Basil when both of them were in danger and dawson encouraged him so that Basil can work properly and help the poor little girl Olivia. Together they helped Olivia and save the Queen ruining Rattigan’s Plan.
Villain’s Profile (The Great Mouse Detective):

Professor Ratigan, a criminal minded rat, who never got caught. Basil worked hard to get him. But Ratigan always managed to escape. When he trapped Basil, he used all the methods to kill him. He even used the best plan to rule the mousedom without getting caught. But he hates anyone calling him rat.
Rattigan had a cat which he used to scare the mice that did not obey him or call him rat. Even he used that cat to kill the Queen but at the last moment, Basil came with a dog Toby. He used him to scare the cat and save the Queen.

Basil often used the method of deep breathing which calms his mind and helps him think in a positive and better way.
Life Lessons (The Great Mouse Detective):
- Never lose hope if you have lost. Try again and think differently as there is always a way for you.
- Always be careful when you are alone.
- Do not support a person, who have bad intentions.
- Try to get out of your problems on your own as God help those who help themselves.
